After a defensive zone turnover earlier in the shift, the Flyers tied the score at one as Nicolas Deslauriers tapped one past Islanders netminder Semyon Varlamov at 15:15 of the first period. On an odd-man rush, Jackson Cates gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead at 16:24 of the first. The Flyers extended their lead to 3-1 as Owen Tippett scored on his own rebound at 8:14 of the second. On a five-on-three power play, Travis Konecny scored from the low slot to make it 4-1 Flyers with 1:15 to play in the second. After a Hart turnover, Brian Pinho scored from the slot to make it a 4-2 game at 5:45 of the third. Less than two minutes later, at 7:39 of the third, Cam Atkinson gave the Flyers a 5-2 lead from the right circle. Islanders goalie Varlamov made 26 saves. Flyers goalie Hart made 14 saves.
