Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen is widely regarded as one of the elite players in the National Hockey League, but recently, he’s been rubbing opponents the wrong way. Most notably, he infuriated New York Islanders head coach Patrick Roy when he hit (and injured) defenceman Alexander Romanov from behind, sending him crashing into the end boards.

While Rantanen wasn’t disciplined for that incident, the NHL did fine him today for embellishment after intentionally getting tangled up with Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark in a recent game.
