Not the Goalies

Ottawa goalies have taken a lot of heat over the last couple of years. Forsberg released the end of last year. Merilainen demoted a week ago.  I've always believed that the goalie vitriol from fans was misdirected.

Now, Merilainen Is chewing up the AHL in his first two games with a 1.00 GAA and .971 Sv%.  His total AHL numbers for this season (5 games) ranks him 9th in the league for goalies playing 5 or more games

Since moving to the LA Kings, Anton Forsberg is Ranked 21st in the NHL (of goalies playing 5+ games) with a 2.56 GAA and .907 Sv%.

I think that the bus that keeps rolling back and forth over the goaltenders needs to move on.
