No rest for the Flyers as they head into the second game of the weekend.

The Flyers' five-game win streak came to an end against the Colorado Avalanche on Jan. 20, but a new day literally brings a new chance for them to get back on track, as they gear up to take on the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 21.
It was a frustrating 7-4 loss for the Flyers, who did play well and generated tons of scoring chances that they just couldn't capitalize on. Morgan Frost continued to be a bright spot in the Flyers' offense, combining particularly well with linemates Joel Farabee and Cam Atkinson to get some good looks on goal; he also continued to massively impress on the power play with Jamie Drysdale.
Carter Hart faced a rough afternoon against the Avalanche, getting pulled in the third period in favor of Sam Ersson. While no goalie would've been able to stop some of the goals Hart faced, he did admit that there was more he could've done to keep the score closer and that the game was just something he needed to learn from.
The Flyers will also most likely be without Owen Tippett, who suffered a lower body injury against the Avalanche and was not able to return to the game after a labored skate back to the bench. There are currently no confirmed updates on the severity of the injury or any indication of how long Tippett will be out for.
The Senators haven't been having the best season since beating the Flyers 5-2 in the second game of the season, but their most recent game against the Winnipeg Jets was one of their best performances so far this season. Although they didn't ultimately get the win, they were able to force arguably the best team in the league into overtime and had the advantage in almost every category throughout the game.
Shane Pinto will most likely make his return to NHL play against the Flyers after facing a lengthy suspension for violating league gambling rules. Flyers fans will also be able to welcome former captain Claude Giroux back to the Wells Fargo Center, where he served the orange and black for 14 years before being traded in 2022.
