Penguins' head coach Dan Muse provides small update on Ben Kindel

With the hockey world and the city of Pittsburgh anxiously awaiting official word on forward Ben Kindel's status - which should come Thursday morning via a Kyle Dubas press conference - Penguins' head coach Dan Muse did deliver a small bit of encouraging news Wednesday.

Speaking on his weekly 'Coach's Show' on the Penguins' flagship radio station, 105.9 The X, Muse gave a slightly positive word on Kindel to open the show.

"He's doing better," Muse said. "We're hopeful that he'll be traveling back to Pittsburgh today."

Muse described Kindel's medical episode as a "scary moment". GM and POHO Kyle Dubas will give an official update on Kindel's status Thursday at 10:00 a.m. ET prior to the team's morning skate.
