A decision on Penguins' forward Evgeni Malkin looms, and according to The Athletic's Josh Yohe, Malkin's camp is reaching out to GM/POHO Kyle Dubas this week to set up a sitdown to discuss Malkin's future with the team.

Malkin has made it clear that he wants one more year in Pittsburgh and that he is fine with continuing to play wing instead of center.

So, basically, they're planning to meet to set up another meeting... which probably isn't much of an update in the grand scheme of things, but hey, at least we know they're going to meet soon.

Malkin becomes an unrestricted free agent Jul. 1 and said he is open to playing elsewhere next season if Pittsburgh isn't an option.

Has this process been fair to Malkin? Let us know what you think.
