It's no secret that the month of November was a rough one for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

And one of their top prospects may be able to make an immediate impact to help.

Forward Rutger McGroarty - who missed all of training camp plus the first month and a half of the regular season because of an upper-body injury - has played in five games at the AHL level and recorded four goals and seven points.

With the Penguins injury-depleted - and scoring-depleted - they could sure use McGroarty right now. But the Penguins had a set return-to-play plan for McGroarty, although the details on the AHL runway with games or the length of his "conditioning" portion of it are unclear.

Should the Penguins pull the trigger and call up McGroarty, regardless of what the original plan was? Let us know below.
