Has anyone seen a yellow pair of scissors?
If so, they may just belong to Pittsburgh Penguins' veteran forward and future Hall-of-Famer Evgeni Malkin.
After the morning skate on Wednesday prior to a big Game 5 win from the Penguins - according to Taylor Haase of DK Pittsburgh Sports - Malkin frantically searched his locker stall for a yellow pair of scissors, blaming the media and then telling teammate Rickard Rakell he was not allowed to speak with them until the scissors were found.
On Wednesday, longtime SportsNet Pittsburgh rinkside reporter Dan Potash - often a friendly antagonist to Malkin - may have just admitted fault in a cryptic X post in response to Malkin being loud during a game of cards on the team plane to Philadelphia ahead of Game 6 on Wednesday.
So... if anyone finds a pair of yellow scissors, you may want to return them to Malkin as soon as possible. Or, maybe, just in case... wait until the series concludes because, ya know, superstition?
