On last Friday, a charity team made up of Finnish NHL players faced off against the Liiga team Oulun Kärpät in Oulu. The NHL players won the game with a score of 10–4. Ville Koivunen, a future NHL player from Oulu, played on a line with Sebastian Aho (Carolina Hurricanes) and Mikael Granlund (Anaheim Ducks) during the game.
Before the game, the stars signed autographs for children and young fans. Former teammate Arttu Hyry (Dallas Stars) sat next to Ville, and their autographs were especially popular among the local kids in Oulu.
Last season, Ville Koivunen had the chance to play alongside Sidney Crosby. He told the local media Kaleva:
"A dream come true. First thing Crosby said was to play to my strengths. He’s always been helpful whenever I’ve gone to ask something," Koivunen praised Crosby.
