It was a good day for two Pittsburgh Penguins prospects at the IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa, Ontario.

Two Penguins' prospects representing Team Finland - defensemen Emil Pieniniemi and Kalle Kangas - each had contributions on the scoresheet en route to Finland's 3-1 victory over Team Germany in a preliminary round matchup on Friday.

Pieniniemi opened the scoring for Finland with two minutes and 30 seconds remaining in the first period, and it was Finland's first goal of the tournament:

Later on, Kangas produced a really nice secondary assist on Jesse Kiiskinen's empty-net goal to seal the deal for Finland late in the third period:

Next up for Team Finland will be Team USA on Sunday, Dec. 29. Team Canada - featuring Penguins' prospect Tanner Howe - will also face off on Sunday against Team Germany.
