The initial timetable had him missing 12 weeks of action. After practice, Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan updated the top-six wingers' status to day-to-day and a game-time decision for Tuesday's opener against the Chicago Blackhawks." } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "Guentzel's earlier-than-expected return is an early win for the Dubas-era in Pittsburgh. The Penguins showed last season that they are not a team that can fall behind the pack and claw back into the playoff picture.
