The Pittsburgh Penguins are desperate for someone to break through in their bottom six. Who could be the catalyst that sparks that part of the lineup? The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned defensemen Taylor Fedun to the AHL thanks to the return of Jeff Petry. Fedun played four games with the Penguins and didn’t show up on the score sheet, but did recorded five shots on goal. At the age of 34, Fedun played in his first NHL-level games since his appearances in the Stanley Cup Final with the Dallas Stars. With the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Fedun serves as the team captian. Petry missed the previous five games with an upper-body injury. Against the New York Rangers, Petry took an elbow to the face that forced him out of the game early. Petry returns to the lineup, playing alongside Brian Dumoulin.
