The Pittsburgh Penguins have started making lineup changes and Jansen Harkins is the main reason why. Following the Pittsburgh Penguins loss to the Detroit Red Wings, both Kris Letang and Noel Acciari were absent from the next day’s practice. Just a day later, the Penguins showed off some good news as both Letang and Acciari returned to the ice. After the two missed practice, head coach Mike Sullivan stated they were both being evaluated for injuries but that is all of the informations he was able to provide. Letang was evaluated for a lower-body injury and Acciari for an upper-body injury. Even with these two healthy, the Penguins are still likely to see lineup maneuvers as forward Jansen Harkins was placed on waivers and Chad Ruhwedel hasn’t looked great. Ryan Shea skated in Letang’s place when he was absent from the Penguins’ skate and Shea expressed that he is ready to be in the lineup. Jeff Carter centered the fourth line and defenseman Will Butcher filled in on the wing on the fourth line.
