The Pittsburgh Penguins are reaching a point of no return with head coach Mike Sullivan. PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins are mourning the loss of a former player. Belarus Hockey club Salavat Yulaev confirmed the passing of Konstatin Koltsov at the age of 42. [https://twitter.com/Belarushockey/status/1769926206097330271] Koltsov was a member of the Penguins between 2003 and 2006 after being drafted in 1999. He played 144 games with the Penguins, scoring 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points as a winger. In a statement from the Penguins, Koltsov was a teammate of Sidney Crosby and Mario Lemieux during the 2005-06 season. Koltsov also spent parts of three season as the AHL level with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. After leaving the Penguins organization, Koltsov played 11 seasons in the KHL and was a Gagarin Cup champion with Salavat Yulev.
