Penguins president and general manager Kyle Dubas spoke with the media and addressed the report." } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "While Dubas tried to note he doesn’t know the exact wording of LeBrun’s reporting, he did admit that teams have called." } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "“I had another GM mention it to me,” Dubas said. “We’ve received a lot of calls on a lot of our players. Especially as our team has been in the spot that it’s at.”" } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "The Penguins currently sit eight points out of the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference with only 29 games left to play. They have games in hand on a few teams, but haven’t had a great stretch." } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "Since returning from the All-Star break, the Penguins are 2-4-1 and 3-5-2 in their last 10 games played. It’s those piling losses that has spurred teams from across the NHL to give Dubas calls." } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "“Coming out of the All-Star break, we lose two of three,” Dubas said. “Last week is the same… Teams are calling more and more asking, ‘are they going to be available?’”" } }, { "type": "paragraph", "data": { "text": "Dubas is remaining patient when it comes to making trades with this Penguins roster.
