The Penguins were trailing 3-2 entering the third period, but managed to score three unanswered goals for a 5-2 victory. Letang notched five assists, with two coming on power play goals in the third period. With less than 10 minutes to play in the first overtime period, Letang one-timed a feed from his partner, Mark Eaton, and beat the Capitals goaltender over the left shoulder.
