He played one season for the University of Minnesota after that before transferring to the University of Denver, where he won a national championship in 2024. So - heading into his first professional season with the Penguins - the organization already quite liked Broz's overall game and offensive upside. The goal heading into 2024-25 was for the 6-foot, 205-pound forward to work on his game at center, which is a position that the Penguins - at the time - were lacking organizationally.
