If this season has shown us anything, it has shown us that the Pittsburgh Penguins need to pay Tristan Jarry. PITTSBURGH - Tristan Jarry was a notable absence from the most recent Pittsburgh Penguins practice, but that doesn’t mean he’s still dealing with his most recent injury. Accoring to head coach Mike Sullivan, Jarry missed the skate due to scheduled visits with doctors and the goalie will travel with the Penguins to New York. That second note that Jarry will be traveling is fairly significant considering the outlook of the schedule. The Penguins got back from their California trip and had a team practice in Pittsburgh before departing to New York to take on the Islanders. If Jarry wasn’t close to returning, or at least not ready for Friday night, a smarter move may have been to leave him in Pittsburgh where they play the following night. The Penguins have been ready for Jarry to return since they returned from the All-Star break; he traveled with the team to California and it seemed like he was nearing a return then. While traveling with the team doesn’t explicitly mean Jarry is making his retrun to the net, the fact he is traveling during the awkward scheduling makes things look more likely.
