We have a new question to ask Seattle Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer: which he finds more interesting, a hockey save or a baseball save.

Yes, this is still The Hockey News' Seattle Kraken site. So what's Seattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald doing in the feature photo spot?

The short answer is, shutting down the Oakland A's in the 9th inning at T-Mobile Park Tuesday night, securing a 3-2 M's victory. Grubauer was in attendance, to see Sewald pick up the save.

Grubauer is an Original Kraken, signing a free agent contract in the summer of 2021. Prior to that, he played for the Colorado Avalanche.

Naturally, when fans of Denver's MLB team, the Colorado Rockies, spotted Grubauer on their social media feed, they had to chime in.

By now, ROOT Sports cameras are used to focusing on the netminder. From Grubauer's glance, it appears he knows when the red light is on in front of him, as well as behind him.

Grubauer appeared in almost as many ballpark Twitter selfies as the players on the field.

As well as taking in the old ball game, Philipp might have been doing some advance scouting. Next January, it's likely Grubauer will be making saves of his own at T-Mobile, when the Kraken host the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2024 NHL Winter Classic.
