Highlights: Kraken Cruise Past Islanders 5-2 On The Road

Vince Dunn nets his first goal since returning to the ice, extending the Kraken's lead in defensemen goals.

ELMONT, NY - The Seattle Kraken triumphed over the New York Islanders Thursday night, securing their second win on a four-game East Coast road trip. It was a dominant performance, with the Kraken carrying over the same fiery energy and aggression from Tuesday’s victory in Carolina. Joey Daccord was outstanding, making key saves and showcasing incredible rebound control.

Tye Kartye broke the ice in the first period, scoring past Islanders' goalie Ilya Sorokin with assists from Vince Dunn and Adam Larsson.

Oliver Bjorkstrand netted his seventh goal of the season on a power play, capitalizing on Scott Mayfield’s delay of game penalty. The goal extends Bjorkstrand’s point streak to seven games! Vince Dunn tallied his second point of the night with the assist, joined by Chandler Stephenson.

Vince Dunn opened up the second period for the Kraken with his first goal since returning from injury leave assisted by Larsson and Beniers.  

Shane Wright would extend the Kraken's lead to 4 with a wrist shot power play thanks to a penalty on Noah Dobson for high sticking on Bjorkstrand.

The Islanders broke the shutout in the third with a paid of goals from Noah Dobson and Maxim Tsyplakov. With 2:40 left, New York pulled their goalie, but Jaden Schwartz dashed any comeback hopes, sealing the win with a game-ending empty-netter. Kraken win 5-2.
