The Seattle Kraken are already in Chicago, to do some "team-building" in advance of their Tuesday game against the Blackhawks.

The four-game road swing will then proceed into Canada, with Atlantic division opponents in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal

While Kraken fans didn't have much to like in Seattle's 5-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks Friday night, we're sure you'll enjoy a selection of Caroline Anne's warmup and game photos.

"It's time to release the Kraken," led by goalie Joey Daccord.6-foot-7 defenseman Jamie Oleksiak is big, even bending over.Winger Brandon Tanev, sans helmet. If I had his flowing locks, I would do likewise.Center Yanni Gourde, smartly wearing a neck guard, cuts a dashing figure. We'll soon learn if Matty Beniers' Movemember mustache survives into December. For some reason, it just occurred to me that winger Pierre-Edouard Bellemare would look smashing for the holidays in a pair or electric reindeer antlers.Defenseman Vince Dunn is either (A) learning to blow smoke rings, (B) doing a guppy impression, or (C) just saw a fan spill his beer and popcorn.Whatever winger Jordan Eberle is keeping an eye on, it's not getting away.Gourde led all Kraken skaters with 103 goals during warmups.

The Kraken have you surrounded. Is this interference? Asking for a Kraken, Kailer Yamamoto (56).Yanni Gourde (37), a little jumpy.Brandon Tanev (13), freight-trained by Vancouver's Nils Hoglander, struggles back to his skates (left). He hobbles to the bench without putting weight on his left leg (right), and is currently out of the lineup injured.A Kraken goal in three parts. 1. Tye Kartye (52) watches the shot he's just taken.2. Adam Larsson (6) has just used his stick to raise the stick of Canucks defender Ian Cole (82). This prevents Cole from deflecting the puck as it flies by.3. The frozen, vulcanized rubber disk escapes Demko's glove. Goal!Kraken fans at Climate Pledge Arena approve of the entire sequence.Kartye and teammates celebrate his 3rd goal of the season, his first in a month.Image
