The Seattle Kraken will be playing their final pre-season game against the Edmonton Oilers with what could be their opening night lineup.

Coach Dan Bylsma discusses final pre-season lineup will closely resemble that of opening day.

The Seattle Kraken will be playing their final pre-season game against the Edmonton Oilers with what could be their opening night lineup.

The Kraken made their final big wave of cuts on Tuesday, placing six players on waivers and assigning another three to the Coachella Valley Firebirds. Among the players who were competing for the final few roster spots that survived the final wave of cuts were Ryan Winterton, John Hayden and Cale Fleury. With the cap situation and the team being over the roster limit, three cuts will need to be made before they are ready to play their first game of the season.

Winterton will once again be in the lineup for the Kraken as Tye Kartye deals with an injury. HC Dan Bylsma would not state what the injury is but for the time being, it will be Winterton taking his place over Hayden.

Josh Mahura skated alongside Fleury as the extra defenseman. Shane Wright has practiced with Kartye and Jordan Eberle throughout training camp and will suit up with Eeli Tolvanen and Oliver Bjorkstrand for the final pre-season game.

The Oilers will be dressing a lineup that looks very similar to what their expected opening night lineup will be.
