Seattle Kraken Forward Jaden Schwartz Placed On Injured Reserve
The injury bug which has increasingly been buzzing around the Seattle Kraken has bitten high-scoring forward Jaden Schwartz.
Early in the 3rd period of Tuesday's 4-3 loss in Chicago, Schwartz blocked a shot with his boot. He left the ice and didn't play for the remainder of the game.
The team has placed Schwartz on injured reserve, which means he will be out of the Seattle lineup for a minimum of one week. The winger has eight goals and seven assists this season, although just one point in his last eight games.
Meeting with the media in advance of tonight's game against the Maple Leafs in Toronto, Kraken coach Dave Hakstol described Schwartz as "not available today."
