Seattle Needs To Keep Applying Principles Which Led To 46-Win Season
Among the many reasons the Seattle Kraken had a successful 2022-23 season, according to coach Dave Hakstol, is that they never let a losing streak get out of hand.
"Figure out way to get out of a rut before it gets too deep," is how Hakstol phrased it.
Three games into the 2023-24 season, the Kraken are in one of those winless ruts. While not too deep, yet, three tough opponents await at Climate Pledge Arena this week - Colorado (Tuesday), Carolina (Thursday), and the New York Rangers (Saturday).
If Seattle can't cure its goal-scoring malaise - two goals in three games, resulting in a 0-2-1 start - the losing streak could become large and ugly in a hurry.
One of the cures is to remember what worked for the Kraken last season. Coach Hakstol and winger Jordan Eberle speak about that in today's Kraken Reaction video.
