When the Seattle Kraken face off tonight with the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre, they shouldn't be surprised if the arena fills with boos.
Nothing unusual about that for a team on the road, except the boos might very well be aimed at the home team - and specifically, Senators coach D.J. Smith. In his 5th season behind the Ottawa bench, Smith has yet to guide his team to the playoffs.
Senators coach D.J. SmithAlthough the Senators swept Minnesota and Detroit in their two Global Series games in Sweden, they've given home fans precious little to cheer for.
They once again find themselves at the wrong end of the Atlantic Division standings. This is another opportunity - like one not taken in Chicago - for the Kraken to pounce on a team in turmoil.
We discuss all this and much more with THN's Ottawa Senators site editor Steve Warne, in today's Kraken Reaction conversation.
