The Kraken hope to bounce back from Sunday's loss to the Rangers as they close out their longest homestand of the season.
Seattle, WA - Forward Daniel Sprong is back with the Kraken, acquired from the Vancouver Canucks earlier this month for future considerations. In Vancouver, he notched three points (1G/2A) in nine games.
Sprong made his triumphant return to Seattle ice during the Kraken’s weekend homestand, playing his first shift in his familiar, yet new home on Saturday against the Islanders and again on Sunday against the Rangers. Sprong logged 10 minutes and 55 seconds of ice time for each game.
The Kraken's four-game winning streak was snapped with a 2-0 shutout loss to the Rangers on Sunday. Seattle hopes Daniel Sprong's return will spark a rebound against the Predators on Wednesday to close out their longest homestand. This is the second of three meetings between the teams, with Seattle winning the opener 7-3 in Nashville on Nov. 20.
When comparing the two clubs, Seattle dominates Nashville with a 6-3-1 all-time record, including a 3-2-0 mark at home. Sprong has five points (4G/1A) in nine career games against the Predators.
In a commanding 7-3 win at Nashville on Oct. 15, the Kraken exploded for seven goals—marking their 13th such performance since joining the NHL in 2021-22, the fifth most in the league (excluding shootout-deciding goals).
Currently, the Kraken sit in 6th place in the Pacific Division, while Nashville ranks 7th in the Central. Wednesday night's game is also Kraken Hockey Fights Cancer Night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7PM PST.
