I can’t help but feel like/hope the Ryan Suter 1 year deal is an indication that a trade is on the horizon. I can’t see any other reason we would sign him unless as a short term veteran replacement for one of the big contracts on defense. It’s an incentive laced deal that would indicate that he expects to play a regular role. I can’t imagine we would sign him to replace a young guy and take playing time away from them so I would have to assume one of the large contracts is expected to go. Am I the only one? I’m sure Lou will give us a good article about it soon but what are you all thinking about this potential?
