Keith Tkachuk's NHL career may not have started with the St. Louis Blues, but his journey to the Gateway City sprouted the roots that would give the family name something to remember for decades to come.
And there will always be the lasting memory of oldest son, Matthew Tkachuk, winning back-to-back Stanley Cup titles with the Florida Panthers. Matthew had his day with the Cup recently in St. Louis.
Now the fame of what could be considered hockey's first family has gone another step.

EA Sports announced its cover for NHL 26, and it includes all three Tkachuk men: Keith, Matthew and Keith's youngest son, Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk:
Of course Keith began his career with the original Winnipeg Jets before the franchise relocated to Arizona and the Coyotes for a combined 10 seasons before being dealt to the Blues in 2001.
Matthew was born in 1997, Brady in 1999, but each of them were young boys and grew up in St. Louis when their father would finish his career with eight-plus seasons in a Bluenote -- aside from a short stint with the Atlanta Thrashers -- and consider St. Louis their home.
Each of the Tkachuk sons list STL in their 'X' bios and are grateful for the honor of being on EA Sports' cover:
Matthew was the No. 6 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, part of five St. Louis born/raised players selected in the first round and six overall from the St. Louis area; Brady was the No. 4 pick in 2018. Keith, who had 407 points (208 goals, 219 assists) in 543 regular-season games with the Blues, is currently their director of recruitment.
