ST. LOUIS -- In what amounted to be a forgetful night for the St. Louis Blues in a 6-2 drubbing at the hands of the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday at Enterprise Center, forward Jakub Vrana provided a glimmering light.

The Blues' left wing scored a beauty of a goal and his determination play set up Sammy Blais for another one to account for all the offense St. Louis (1-1-1) would muster up.

Not only did Vrana impact the scoresheet on Thursday, but he also helped generate multiple scoring chances on the Blues' second and final power play late in the second period.

Vrana finished with 12:51 ice time, was a plus-2 in the game which is hard to do in a 6-2 loss; was credited with five shot attempts, including three on goal, which I find hard to believe he didn't have more, and he had two hits in the game.

Frankly, I thought Vrana would move up in the lineup and deserved more ice time. He seems to be making more of an impact on an offense that's as anemic as can get through three games generating near the bottom of the league in a number of categories thus far.
