ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Blues center Robert Thomas departed a 3-2 loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Thomas, who had two assists on goals scored by Brandon Saad, blocked a shot by Jets defenseman Neal Pionk with 18:38 remaining in the third period and was slow to the bench initially. He would remain on the bench and assist on Saad's second goal at 5:15 of the period but did not return after taking a face-off with 11:58 to play.

"Lower-body injury right now," Blues coach Drew Bannister said after the game, also confirming he believed Thomas would be getting x-rays after the game.

Thomas, who has six points (one goal, five assists) in seven games, would be a blow to the team if he were to miss any time.

The Blues (4-3-0) depart for a four-game road trip beginning Thursday against Craig Berube and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

"Hopefully he's OK," Blues captain Brayden Schenn said. "We'll see how he is tomorrow and go from there. I have no update."

The Blues will practice at Centene Community Ice Center on Wednesday and something more should be known on the status of Thomas then.
