Former 2022 sixth-round draft pick (184th overall) of the St. Louis Blues, Landon Sim, has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs [http://thn.com/toronto]. His entry-level contract will kick in during the 2026-27 season. Sim joined the Maple Leafs in the summer, signing a minor league contract. He started the season with the Cincinnati Cyclones in the ECHL [http://thn.com/echl], where he notched two goals and six points in 18 games. He then earned a call-up to the Toronto Marlies in the AHL [http://thn.com/ahl], where he’s posted three goals in 13 games. Prior to joining the Maple Leafs organization, Sim spent four years with the London Knights in the OHL [http://thn.com/ohl]. Standing 5-foot-10, 166 pounds, the 21-year-old is an energetic forward who brings physical upside to any lineup. He can show flashes of skill and creativity with the puck, but Sim shines as a two-way force. Although the Blues originally drafted Sim, the two parties did not agree to an entry-level deal, which provided Sim the freedom to sign with any team of his choosing. He ultimately landed with the Maple Leafs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Image [https://deweb-519a7.b-cdn.net/post-images/e84aebc1-a620-472a-a98b-3142f5e4c38b.jpeg] For action-packed issues, access to the entire magazine archive and a free issue, subscribe to The Hockey News at THN.com/free [https://thehockeynews.store/products/print-subscription].
