The Tampa Bay Lightning entered the 4 Nations Face-Off on a real heater. They won each of their last four games before the break and now have a 31-20-4 record on the season.
Lightning forward Gage Goncalves helped play a role in the Lightning's recent success, as the 24-year-old forward is finding his offensive rhythm. The 2020 second-round pick has posted five assists and a plus-4 rating over his last six games with the Bolts. This a major step in the right direction, as he had just two points in his first 27 games with the Lightning this season.
Seeing Goncalves starting to produce offensively with the Lightning is very exciting. The 24-year-old is one of the Lightning's most promising young forwards, and it now appears that the Mission, British Columbia native is starting to break out.

With the 4 Nations Face-Off break here, Goncalves was sent back to the Syracuse Crunch to continue to get into game action. He has not slowed down in the slightest with the Crunch, posting an assist in each of his first two games. With this, he now has 16 points in 13 games with the Crunch this season.
Once the break is over, it will be fascinating to see if Goncalves can continue to make an impact with the Bolts.
