The Tampa Bay Lightning are preparing to be buyers for the 2025 NHL trade deadline. It is easy to see why, as they have a 31-20-4 record and are third in the Atlantic Division standings. Thus, they stand a very good chance of making the post-season, so they should be making upgrades to their group.
When looking at their current roster, one specific need they should try to address through the trade market is adding a top-six right winger for the second line.
The Lightning have used multiple players at the 2RW spot this season, but they have not found a permanent solution. As a result, bringing in a proven top-six right winger would make an already strong Lightning forward group even better.

A few wingers who have been discussed in the rumor mill this season include Rickard Rakell (Pittsburgh Penguins), Alex Tuch (Buffalo Sabres), Jason Zucker (Sabres), and Kyle Palmieri (New York Islanders). Thus, there are some options out there that the Lightning should seriously consider.
It will be interesting to see if the Lightning end up bringing in a skilled winger before the deadline passes from here. It would undoubtedly make them an even bigger threat in the Eastern Conference if they did.
