The duo will be inducted as part of Lightning Alumni Weekend, which will be held on March 8-9.
The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Friday that the team’s 2024 Hall of Fame Class will feature 2004 Stanley Cup Champions Dave Andreychuk and Brad Richards.
Andreychuk joined the Lightning as a free agent in July 2001 with years of experience under his belt. Upon signing with the Bolts, he brought a veteran presence that made an immediate impact on the organization.
The Ontario native played in 278 regular season games with the Lightning, registering 68 goals and 129 points. Following their 2004 Stanley Cup win, he made the decision to retire and join the Lightning front office, where he now serves as VP of corporate and community affairs.
In contrast, Brad Richards was not a household name when GM Phil Esposito called him up in the third round of the 1998 NHL Draft.
Richards went on to make a lasting impact on the Lightning organization, skating in 552 regular season games, recording 150 goals, 339 assists and 489 points. He ranks in the Top 10 in Lightning history in most statistical categories.
Following his Stanley Cup performance, Richards became the first player in Lightning history to be awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the playoffs. In addition, following the season, he was named the recipient of the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.
The duo will be inducted as part of Lightning Alumni Weekend, which will be held on March 8-9.
