The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Minnesota Wild last night 4-1. The Lightning were lifted to victory on the back of a two-goal effort from defenseman Darren Raddysh. Despite having a depleted blue line Raddysh stepped up to the plate and gave his team nearly 26 minutes of ice time.

It was a much needed two points after the disappointing loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night. But perhaps the most interesting stories to come out of the win against the Wild are how two former Lightning players performed.

Zach Bogosian - not known for his offense - scored the lone goal for the Wild.

As you can see in the above tweet from the Wild's X (Twitter) account, Bogosian sniped home a shot from the right faceoff dot that made it past Andrei Vasilevskiy. Bogosian played a shade under 19 minutes in his first game against his former team since being traded earlier this season.

Earlier in the contest, Patrick Maroon engaged in some "extracurricular activities" with Austin Watson.

Right off the faceoff Maroon and Watson drop the gloves and let the fists fly. It was a pretty even fight, with no one getting knocked down or landing a significant blow. With his team down 2-0 at the time, it's easy to see why Maroon would drop the gloves to try to give his team a spark.

Maroon is no stranger to exchanging fisticuffs this season - or any other year for that matter. This year alone he has six fights with one of those coming in the preseason. Last year he fought 12 times, and the season before he had 10 fights.

Both Bogosian and Maroon stepped up for their new team against the Lightning, as both players were given an "A" for the game. They gave a valiant effort, but the Lightning ultimately came out on top.
