The defensman left Tuesday night's game in pain after blocking a shot with his left foot. The Lightning say he's still being evaluated.
Mikhail Sergachev is leading the team in blocked shots with 69 total this season. The most recent sent him down the tunnel in pain last night at Amalie Arena. He came back to the bench briefly, but eventually departed again with a lower body injury. He’s still being evaluated according to the Lightning.
As of Wednesday, he was absent from practice and had a boot on his left leg and a scooter to prevent any weight from being put on his foot.
The extent of his injury is not known, but his status is up in the air as the Vegas Golden Knights come to town on Thursday. Sergachev is averaging 21:30 of ice time per game, so his loss will be felt.
The Lightning had no further update.
