The Tampa Bay Lightning put together another impressive 60 minute performance Wednesday night as they defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1.

After losing a two-goal lead to this team less than a week ago, the Lightning made the necessary adjustments and responded well.

Anthony Cirelli, Nikita Kucherov and Tanner Jeannot all recorded goals, giving them the scoring depth they've been missing the past couple of weeks. Two players also hit milestones last night. Cirelli reached his 200 career point mark and Kucherov extended his point streak to 11 straight games. He has had an assist in all 11, which is a franchise record.

The first two goals of the night came on the power play. Cirelli banked the first one in just six minutes into the game. Kucherov added one midway through the second period putting the Lightning up 2-0.

Andrei Vasilevskiy was just 53 seconds short of his second consecutive shutout, but a Kris Letang goal prevented that. He ended the night with 24 saves.

The Lightning didn’t have much time to spare following the game. They quickly boarded a plane and headed to Nashville to complete their back-to-back against the Predators Thursday night.
