The Bruins are dominating the league again this year. Through 16 games they were 14-2 last year, this year they are 13-1-2.

Defensively they’re doing well, leading the league in goals against at 2.00 and have a penalty kill percentage of 91.5%. Goaltending has been solid with the duo of Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark.

The most impressive part for Boston is that they’ve done all of this without Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Dmitry Orlov, Tyler Bertuzzi and Taylor Hall. Their top defenseman, Matt Grzelcyk, has been out since October 30th with an upper-body injury

The Lightning are in a different position than the Bruins. They’re riding a two-game win streak, and more than anything else, they’re looking to continue building good habits after being shutout twice a week ago. The Bolts are in the middle of a transition period. Anthony Cirelli could be back in the lineup after practicing on Sunday which will help tremendously.

Tonight will be a big test for the Bolts, giving them an idea of where they matchup against the best team in the league. A lapse in defensive coverage could be detrimental against Boston, they'll need to stay focused like they've been in their last two games.
