Three Years Ago Today The Lightning Won The Stanley Cup. Here Are Some Of My Favorite Moments.

The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Dallas Stars in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final after spending 65 days in the bubble.

It's been three years since the Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup after spending 65 days in the bubble due to Covid-19. 

The series began with Dallas taking a 1-0 lead after a dominant 4-1 victory. Tampa Bay would then storm back to take a 3-1 series lead. After the Stars survived elimination by winning Game 5 in double overtime, the Lightning absolutely shut them down in Game 6, winning 2-0 to take the series 4-2. Following the win, Victor Hedman received the Conn Smythe Trophy. 

And how could anyone forget the boat parade? 

The 2020 cup was a story of resilience, a totally different set of challenges and a reset of the championship culture for the Lighting.
