Atkinson, 35, signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Lightning this past summer. This was shortly after the Philadelphia Flyers bought out the Riverside, Connecticut native. Atkinson has primarily been a depth forward while with the Lightning this season. In 38 games this campaign, the veteran winger has four goals, five assists, and a minus-4 rating. Halverson, 28, was recalled by the Lightning last week and appeared in his first NHL game since the 2017-18 season during his call-up with Tampa Bay. During that start against the Utah Hockey Club on March 22, the Traverse City, Michigan native allowed five goals on 24 shots in a loss. Halverson has had a strong year down in the AHL with the Crunch this campaign, posting a 16-9-8 record, a .913 save percentage, and a 2.32 goals-against average in 34 games.
