The Tampa Bay Lightning signed a few depth players while they were finishing up their big signings on Wednesday. The Lightning added a pair of 25-year -old goaltenders via free agency, Olivier Rodrigue and Mads Sogaard. Both netminders have established themselves as regulars at the American Hockey League level and earned one-year contracts, both of which carry a cap hit of $850k. Both are expected to report to the Syracuse Crunch during the 2026-27 season. The Lightning also signed AHL veteran defenseman Michael Callahan, a Massachusetts native who spent the entirety of his career to this point with the Boston Bruins organization. Last season with the Providence Bruins, Callahan scored a pair of goals and 16 points in 56 games. He also appeared in five NHL games and failed to register a point. Callahan's contract, like Rodrigue and Sogaard, is for one-year with a cap hit of $850k. The Lightning likely still have more business to take care of over the summer, whether or not they'll make any more substantial additions or just add more depth remains to be seen though.
