There aren't many teams in the NHL that have it much harder than the Leafs right now. If dropping three consecutive games to fall to an 8-8-1 record including two against the hated rival Bruins wasn't bad enough, they also lost captain and star Auston Matthews and solid net-minder Anthony Stolarz to injury, and are still awaiting stalwart defenseman Chris Tanev's return. How badly are the Leafs missing these pieces right now, and better yet would it even make a difference if they were playing? Do the Leafs have what it takes to bump the slump or is a playoff miss inbound?
