The Toronto Maple Leafs were feeling the love all weekend at the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy.

Juncos Hollinger Racing's Sting Ray Robb wore a Maple Leafs jersey with Auston Matthews' name on the back as he walked to the track on Sunday. The 23-year-old smiled as he walked towards the pits, high-fiving all the fans who were waiting for the racers.

If you're wondering, yes, that's Robb's real name. He was named after the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and began car racing in 2016 before switching to the IndyCar series two years ago.

Robb began Sunday's race in 25th and moved up eight spots throughout, finishing in 17th. Arrow McLaren's Pato O'Ward, the race winner, started in 10th before moving up nine spots and crossing the finish line in first place.

The Maple Leafs posted a video to X on Saturday afternoon of forward Steven Lorentz driving in an Indy car for a lap. "This is f***ing sick," Lorentz smiled as he sat in the vehicle. "I'm probably going to feel sick after."

Perhaps it's experiencing the rush of an IndyCar at over 200 miles per hour.

Lorentz is having an eventful offseason, signing a three-year, $4.05 million contract with Toronto on June 30. Not only did he participate in the IndyCar festivities, but Lorentz has also spent time on the golf course, playing in the inaugural NHLPA Faceoff tournament ahead of the RBC Canadian Open in June.

Maple Leafs forward William Nylander and his brother, Alex, won the NHLPA Faceoff tournament this year.

Lorentz was also spotted in PREMA Racing's paddock this weekend, holding a steering wheel while talking to a couple of drivers. Sunday's race wrapped up three days' worth of events, featuring practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday, and race day on Sunday.

The Ontario Honda Dealers Indy is Toronto's annual IndyCar race, which began in 1986 as the Molson Indy. Lorentz is the first Maple Leafs player to take part in the festivities since Dave Bolland and David Clarkson served as the race's Grand Marshals in 2013.
