The Maple Leafs' prospects have been participating in the Michigan tournament since 2019.
Before training camp opens up next month, the Toronto Maple Leafs prospects will once again be heading to Traverse City, Michigan for the annual prospects tournament.
The club will join the Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings and the Dallas Stars, with each club taking on the prospects of the other three teams.
Toronto will open the tournament on Thursday, Sept. 14 against the Blue Jackets. On Friday, Sept. 15, Toronto takes on Dallas before wrapping things up on Sept. 17 when they take on the Detroit Red Wings.
The Maple Leafs are expected to announce participants for the tournament at a later date. Tickets for the event at Centre Ice Arena and other tournament-related information are expected to be here when available.
Last year, the St. Louis Blues were part of the tournament and the five-team format led to a bizarre schedule, where only two of the five clubs (Detroit and Toronto) played in four games while the other three clubs took part in just three contests.
