Easton Cowan will be among the 42 prospects that will attend Toronto Maple Leafs development camp on beginning with medicals and testing on July 2.
The roster for the 2023 Development Camp of the Toronto Maple Leafs was unveiled on Friday.
A total of 42 players, consisting of 24 forwards, 12 defensemen, and six goaltenders, are set to participate in this year's development camp. Among them are 19 draft picks from the Maple Leafs, including three selections from the recent NHL Draft: Easton Cowan, Hudson Malinoski, and Noah Chadwick. Also attending are three draft picks from the 2022 NHL Draft (Fraser Minten, Nicholas Moldenhauer, Brandon Lisowsky), two from the 2021 NHL Draft (Ty Voit, Vyacheslav Peksa), and eight from the 2020 NHL Draft (Artur Akhtyamov, John Fusco, Roni Hirvonen, Mike Koster, Veeti Miettinen, Joe Miller, Topi Niemelä, Ryan Tverberg).
Apart from the Maple Leafs' draft picks, the roster includes one player signed to an NHL contract, Braeden Kressler, as well as two players signed to AHL contracts, Luke Cavallin and Jonny Tychonick. Additionally, the Maple Leafs have invited 23 free agents to participate.
Hayley Wickenheiser, the Maple Leafs' Assistant General Manager of Player Development, along with her staff, will oversee this year's camp again this season.
Players report to Ford Performance Centre for medicals and testing on Sunday and the camp will run from July 3-8.
