Through all of the relocation rumors regarding the Coyotes, just remember that this also impacts players on the team and their families.

The Arizona Coyotes’ arena situation has reached a national level as everyone from media pundits to fans discuss where the future of the team lies.

Has anybody ever thought how all this chatter impacts players on the Coyotes?

There have been a lot of different rumors spread about whether or not the Coyotes will be playing in Arizona following this season.

Through it all, many people have taken to social media, spreading some false information about the whole situation while really discussing relocation without fully understanding what that could all mean.

PHNX Sports’ Craig Morgan talked about how Coyotes’ players are feeling amidst this fiasco.

“The players who are on expiring contracts and are moving on in their careers, you get it, it’s not as big a deal to them, but when we are talking about the core of this team I can tell you to a man they want to stay in Arizona. They don’t want to go to Salt Lake City, they don’t want to relocate. I know because I’ve asked them…

“They just want an arena,” Morgan said. “They want a solution. They are tired of this and you can say, you got to block it out you are a professional athlete, but it’s a lot easier said than done. This impacts their lives and it’s tough being the mockery of the league for this long. It’s not a comfortable feeling to have to deal with that on a daily basis.”

When players have to hear about relocation of the team they play for it has to be hard. Many of them have a family and already settled down in the Valley, so constant ridicule and baseless relocation rumors is simply just not fair.

Sean Durzi also spoke about his perspective on everything going on regarding the Coyotes’ arena search.

“Obviously, everybody in here is kind of anxious to find out what’s going to happen,” Durzi said via Morgan. “Look, we just want to find a rank and play in a rink. We all love Arizona.”

True or not true, players and their families have to be taking notice of all of these constant rumors.

The notion that relocating a franchise is all sunshine and roses and an overall positive aspect of sports is just not true.
