Logan Cooley tallied three assists in the Coyotes 7-5 win over the Predators in what was arguably the best game of his young career.

Logan Cooley had a career night during the Arizona Coyotes 7-5 victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

The 19-year-old rookie tallied a total of three assists in what was arguably the best game of his young career thus far.

Cooley’s best play of the night came on the power play when he delivered a pinpoint pass to Clayton Keller who was in perfect position to bury in a goal. He delivered the pass from one red circle to the other as he knew that Keller’s shot is hard to defend from that specific spot.

“On the power play, you are trying to find him,” Cooley said. “He is not missing from that spot so I knew if I got the puck there and I was looking to shoot and I knew if I got it to him there he wasn’t going to miss that.”

Throughout the night, Cooley just seemed more calm and composed with the puck as he continued to make smart plays.

The line of Cooley, Michael Carcone and Jason Zucker looked great over most parts of this game.

Cooley also saw an increase in minutes playing a total of 16:47 minutes which is definitely a positive sign.

Logan Cooley spoke following the Coyotes 7-5 victory over the Predators.

On the season, Cooley now has one goal, 10 assists and 11 points which has him tied for first amongst all rookies in points with Connor Bedard.

It’s these types of performances that Cooley has to build off of. He is just so dynamic and skilled that it’s only a matter of time before he puts everything together and becomes not just more reliable but a potential All-Star caliber player.
