Why Clayton Keller has Superstar Potential

Clayton Keller has been on fire to start the 2023-24 season for the Coyotes as he continues play himself into into superstar status.

The Arizona Coyotes may not just have an all-star but a potential superstar on their hands.

Clayton Keller tied the great Keith Tkachuk for the most points in a single season by a Coyotes player last year tallying 37 goals, 49 assists and 86 points.

It's hard to exceed that sort of success but believe it or not, Keller has looked even better to start the 2023-24 campaign.

Through the first five games of the season, Keller has three goals, three assists and six points. He continues to serve a crucial role playing 20:21 minutes a game while slotting in on Arizona’s first line and number one power play unit.

When Keller is on the ice he doesn't just skate but he glides, using his blazing speed to his advantage. The way he skates almost feels effortless, literally looking like he is levitating on the ice at some points.

Each time Keller touches the puck, he is capable of bringing fans out of their seats as they look in awe of his pure talent.

The way Keller is able to create something out of nothing is just unbelievable to watch thus far. He is not just looking to score but through these first few games, is also growing as a playmaker.

Opposing teams not only have to worry about Keller scoring but the young all-star also makes his teammates around him better which only helps create more threats on the ice for the Coyotes.

As it stands right now, Keller has a legitimate chance to break his 86 point season that he set just last year and maybe even crack the 100 point mark.

At 25-years-old, Keller has to start being talked about in the same light as some of the best players in the NHL.

In a smaller hockey market such as Arizona, it’s difficult to make a name for yourself but that is exactly what Keller is doing for himself. If he is able to keep up this impressive play, the sky’s the limit for what Keller can accomplish.
