A Gordie Howe hat trick is when a player records a goal, an assist, and a fight all in the same game. Utah HC beat the Sabres 5-2, but it was Kesselring who had himself a big afternoon. His goal came at 16:42 into the second period on a shot from the point that beat Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, which tied the game at 1-1. Kesselring's fight came at 10:44 in the second period. He took exception to a hit that Beck Malenstyn threw on him behind the net and that led to them dropping the gloves.
