The Vancouver Canucks kick off 2024 with a busy month of January. In total, the Canucks will play 13 games, which includes a seven-game road trip where they visit all three New York based teams. Here is a look at four marquee matchups Canuck fans should ensure they tune in over this month.

Jan. 6 @ New Jersey Devils

The second instalment of the Hughes Bowl will take place on Jan. 6 when the Canucks visit the New Jersey Devils. This season's first matchup was thrilling as Jack and Luke defeated Quinn 6-5. Based on the first battle between these two, this could be another high-scoring game as Vancouver visits the Prudential Center for the only time this season.

Jan. 9 @ New York Islanders

After playing the Rangers the night before, the Canucks travel to Long Island on Jan. 9 to face Bo Horvat and the New York Islanders. The two teams have already played once this season, with Quinn Hughes scoring in overtime as Vancouver defeated New York 4-3. In a game that should feature plenty of motivation on both sides, the Canucks will have an opportunity to record their first three-game winning streak against the Islanders since 2016.

    Vancouver Canucks 2023 Recap

Jan. 20 vs Toronto Maple Leafs

Regardless of where each team is in the standings, the Toronto Maple Leafs' visit to Vancouver is one of the year's biggest games. Not only is Rogers Arena packed with Leafs gear, but the Canucks must fold to the demands of the rights holders and play at 4:00 PM PT. Expect plenty of back and forth in the crowd as two of Canada's top teams battle it out on Hockey Night in Canada.

    Jan. 22 vs Chicago Blackhawks

Arguably, the biggest game of the regular season will go down on Jan. 22 when Connor Bedard plays his first game in Vancouver. The last time these two met, the North Vancouver-born star recorded two assists and five shots in a 4-3 Chicago Blackhawks loss to the Canucks. Do not be surprised to see plenty of posters featuring Bedard in a Vancouver jersey as fans get set to witness this year's potential Calder winner up close at the NHL level for the first time.
